There’s a great design gallery of Chevrolet speedometer designs over the years over at Christian Annyas’ site. I’ve really enjoyed this gallery, you can see a wide variation in fonts and styles over the years, but still in the same basic shapes. I really love the 1970 Chevy Nova version pictured above as well.

Just watched the Adjustment Bureau. I enjoyed it, it was a fun and interesting movie. I really loved the design of the Case books the bureau workers used. This screenshot does not show it, but the diagrams in the book are animated and constantly moving. The design of the book diagrams were influenced by circuit boards to give it a classic feel over something futuristic.

Charlotte, like Manchester NH, is also known as the Queen City. Charlotte has some great signage going on. This is the icon of the city, which is really nice. I’ll be taking more photos of the design going on around Charlotte.

I’m very much into Dashboard design right now. This particular example is from a new startup called Leftronic. This is another example of great Dashboard design, like the Panic Dashboard shown a few months back.

This is so interesting to me, since it’s the combination of my love of data visualization and programming with interface design. Particular inspiration to take note of is the graphics from movies from the past decade. These dashboard are bringing those to reality using real data. I cannot wait to make my own.
